Braindead TechCast EP 149: Sean … I’m in your podcast

Tonight is a bit of a departure in that Sean has decided to take a bit of a holiday and I was lucky enough to get my friend Paul O’Flaherty to step in and help out while Sean is gallivanting around some state.

As far as topics much of tonight’s show is about all different kinds of Facebook news that has been going on over the last few days. Paul and I also get into a couple of interesting discussions about Nokia, Microsoft, StumbleUpon and Digg.

Braindead TechCast EP 148: Lost in St. Louis

Not being one’s to let anything too serious stop Sean or I from doing the show tonight’s episode finds Sean suffering through horrendous hotel Internet service in order to join me for our Cool Stuff night.

Before we get to that though we do take a moment to praise the Internet gods for finally allowing Netflix to reach Canada and for a reasonable price.

From three it’s all about robot skin, rubber band Gatling guns and glass speakers. You know cool stuff.

Just so you know we aren’t pulling your leg about how bad Sean’s connection was here’s the speed test result he showed me.

Braindead TechCast EP 147: No sexy in security

Besides the greatest quote we’ve heard in a long time both Sean and I are really happy that neither of our pant legs are wet. Not only that we wonder what it would take for all these silly social media services to actually practice security before they are forced into it.

Braindead TechCast EP 146: Moronic Monday plays with a joydick

What better way to start off your week than a good dose of some really moronic things we have from around the web. I mean where else can you find out about joydicks, floating cellphone enclosures or a Trekkie menstrual pad.

Seriously it doesn’t get any better or moronic that this.

Braindead TechCast EP 145: Techmeme Friday with a whole bunch of butt covering

Yes folks, it’s time for yet another Techmeme Friday where Sean and I spend some time going through the headlines on Techmeme and use them as fodder for our special blend of humor.

Well we call it humor anyway.

Headlines mentioned in the show.

Braindead TechCast EP 144: A day of puzzling tidbits

This is one of those shows where we end up looking at a bunch of stuff starting with a follow-up to the story we talked about in the last show regarding the creepy Googler (now ex).

We also take a bit of a trip down memory lane as we wonder about the future of Novell now that VMware has taken an interest in its Linux services, and SUSE.

Braindead TechCast EP. 143: About the keeping my data private thing

YA! Twitter got a new home page. Let’s all go out and party like it is 2007 and get all warm and fuzzy. In other words for the millions of people using non-Twitter clients nothing has changed but for those developing for Twitter services it is yet another lesson that maybe you should all go back to writing email clients or “Hello World”.

Then’s there’s Google ….

Braindead TechCast EP 142: Moronic Monday has Steven eating his mic

Not that anyone will notice but I got me a new mic to do my shows with which should result in a better quality audio, which when it comes to podcasts is a really good idea. Other than that it was just another normal Moronic Monday where we get to see Sean’s head approach the exploding point once more.
