I’ve been pretty patient over this growing irritation with Twitter. I’ve posted once or twice to Twitter itself with screen captures but it seems I must be the only person in the world that is having this problem.

The problem?

Twitter for some reason only seems to be able to send email notifications to a single one of my email addresses. Now I realize that I am not the only person in the whole friggin world with more than one email address but the fact that for one Twitter won’t let you use the same email address for multiple accounts means that I have to use one of my other email accounts.

As it stands right now the only email account that isn’t causing Twitter to puke all over the place is my Gmail account. If I try and use any of my other accounts that are tied to my domains – primarily Shooting at Bubbles and WinExtra – I keep getting the message you see above.

The moment I change the email account for Twitter notifications to my Gmail account the problem disappears but to do that one of my Twitter accounts has to be tied to another email account and up pops this extremely irritating error message.

The thing is that I don’t have this problem on any of the other networks I am a part of. Facebook gets along just fine with my Shooting at Bubbles email address. A half dozen other places have no problem with my WinExtra email address. The only place I have a problem is with Twitter. Hell it doesn’t even take my Hotmail account without barfing.

Now if anyone has a suggestion on how to fix this from my end I am all ears but in the meantime – WTF Twitter?

BTW this means that if anyone has followed me on Twitter (@stevenhodson) I haven’t gotten any notification so please either DM or @replies me on Twitter and I’ll try and correct the error.
