Dear TweetDeck

I realize that everyone is waxing about how great you are for working with the Twitter service. Hell even I like you most of the time. However I can’t use you and I really regret it and the sad part is that it is only a small thing that stops me from adopting you as my main Twitter client.

What is that reason you ask?

Well simply put What The Fuck is up with the small font and no way to change it?

Like really it’s not like it’s  that hard to use a user’ defined font size; unless of course AIR developing is that backward that you can’t easily add it. Considering that Twhirl let’s you change the font size I can’t see it being that much of a problem.

Here’s a hint – not everyone using your program is going to be 22 with eyes of an eagle. Also not everyone is setting their resolution to some archaic 800 x 600 – both my monitors run at 1600×1200 so the font size is frikken tiny and squinting will only help a little.

So please could you finally see the light and give us user definable font size.

(p.s. I got a bunch more UI suggestions as well but let’s see how this one goes)

  • Amen. I'd also like it if the feed paused when you clicked on a link, or somehow made it easy to find where you left off. I click on a link, come back, and have no way to retweet or reply or share that link. Making me scroll through it is not the coolest thing to do.

It sucks because there are a bunch of Twhirl capabilities that I like and there are a bunch of TweetDeck ones, but neither of them get it 100% right. Frustrating.
  • like I said at the end of my post I have a whole bunch of UI improvements that I could make - especially considering that at one time I developed my own Twitter client for Windows.
  • It's too bad there isn't a good open source project for this. I'm sure there's a bunch of talented folks who would happily dive in to either of these products to make them better.
