This is one of those shows where we end up looking at a bunch of stuff starting with a follow-up to the story we talked about in the last show regarding the creepy Googler (now ex).

We also take a bit of a trip down memory lane as we wonder about the future of Novell now that VMware has taken an interest in its Linux services, and SUSE.

YA! Twitter got a new home page. Let’s all go out and party like it is 2007 and get all warm and fuzzy. In other words for the millions of people using non-Twitter clients nothing has changed but for those developing for Twitter services it is yet another lesson that maybe you should all go back to writing email clients or “Hello World”.

Then’s there’s Google ….

This has to be consider one of those non sequitur type shows where everything stems from tech talk but has absolutely nothing to with tech – well at least the closer we get to the end. From dead kid in the street to sneaky quadrotors to really bad tacos we cover it all not to mention that Sean gets his revenge and blinds me with a website so bad that it is actually awesome in a GeoCities way.

Posts referred to in tonight’s show.

  • This Is How I Read TechCrunch: Without Comments – TechCrunch
  • A body on Google Street View? Don’t worry it’s just me playing dead, says girl, ten – Mail Online
  • Watch this now: The Twitter Movie Trailer – The Next Web
  • Cyber-Cute Overload: Quadrocopter Drone Has Its Own Little Home – Crunch Gear
  • Norwegian Mailbox Drone – BotJunkie

And Sean’s give to web designers around the world a gift to haunt your nights – don’t blame me if you eyes bleed

Enjoy the show.

So are you ready for the tsunami of 140 character messages that are going to be going at you non-stop once Twitter, and all the Twitter clients, start using the real-time User Stream API?

It might sound like a great idea but in practice I think it will be a far different experience.
