Braindead TechCast has a new home

As of tonight the podcast that I do with Sean every day has found itself a new home. While this blog has hosted Braindead TechCast since its inception it never felt right to me but as I was always busy with other projects, and earning a living, not much was done to fix the situation.

But for some time now the feeling that the podcast needed its own home has been building so last night I did some domain name checking and lo’ and behold Braindead TechCast was available. Needless to say I grabbed it immediately with the thought I would work on putting the pieces together over the weekend.

Well it turns out I had some time today that I wasn’t expecting to have so I decided to bite the bullet and get some work done. It turns out that everything went better than expected and for the most part the site is ready for the public.

There is still some tweaking and other related stuff to get done but from this point on you will be find all future episodes of Braindead TechCast, and possibly other tech related podcasts, at its new home.

You can also follow Braindead TechCast through its spanking new Twitter account – @braindead_tech.

See you all over there hopefully.

There’s nothing more fun than having a newbie for the Moronic Monday episode we do on Braindead TechCast and since Sean is still off playing with his hotel room delivery by himself Paul O’Flaherty volunteered to fill in.

Now I’m not sure if after tonight’s show if he will ever consider doing such a thing again but other than the melting of his few remaining braincells he seem to have a good time on the show.

Headlines referred to in tonight’s show.

  • Fastest Time for Two People to Switch Shorts (Feat of the Week) – Urlesque
  • Lego NXT Handjob - DailyShite
  • Electronic Bracelet Keeps Track of What Your Hands Are Doing – Neatorama

Braindead TechCast EP 150: Techmeme Friday goes all pizza, pizza, pizza

Posted on September 24, 2010 by Steven Hodson

As Sean continues his wild holiday somewhere in the US Paul and I carry on the fine tradition of Techmeme Friday tear down of the headlines on Techmeme as we make fun of them at the same time.

We also had some fun with a rumor about Sean receiving something at his hotel room that he then started playing with, but we’ll leave that to your imaginations – unless of course you want to share your warped thoughts as to what he is playing with. If you do just email us at podcast@winextra.com and we’ll share them on the Monday show.

Headlines referenced to in the show.

  • Video of Zuckerberg’s chat with Oprah today – The Next Web
  • Eric Schmidt: Forget Apple, Facebook, Bing’s Our Biggest Problem – Silicon Alley Insider
