There’s nothing more fun than having a newbie for the Moronic Monday episode we do on Braindead TechCast and since Sean is still off playing with his hotel room delivery by himself Paul O’Flaherty volunteered to fill in.

Now I’m not sure if after tonight’s show if he will ever consider doing such a thing again but other than the melting of his few remaining braincells he seem to have a good time on the show.

  • Lego NXT Handjob - DailyShite

Braindead TechCast EP 150: Techmeme Friday goes all pizza, pizza, pizza

Posted on September 24, 2010 by Steven Hodson

As Sean continues his wild holiday somewhere in the US Paul and I carry on the fine tradition of Techmeme Friday tear down of the headlines on Techmeme as we make fun of them at the same time.

We also had some fun with a rumor about Sean receiving something at his hotel room that he then started playing with, but we’ll leave that to your imaginations – unless of course you want to share your warped thoughts as to what he is playing with. If you do just email us at podcast@winextra.com and we’ll share them on the Monday show.

  • Video of Zuckerberg’s chat with Oprah today – The Next Web

Tonight is a bit of a departure in that Sean has decided to take a bit of a holiday and I was lucky enough to get my friend Paul O’Flaherty to step in and help out while Sean is gallivanting around some state.

As far as topics much of tonight’s show is about all different kinds of Facebook news that has been going on over the last few days. Paul and I also get into a couple of interesting discussions about Nokia, Microsoft, StumbleUpon and Digg.

Posts referenced in tonight’s show.

  • Facebook Phone: All You Need To Know + New Details – GigaOM
  • Facebook is not worth $33,000,000,000 – 37 Signals
  • TheLikestream, Digg For Facebook “Likes” – TechCrunch
  • Tinypic Restricts Photo Uploads To U.S., Users Up In Arms – TechCrunch
  • The absolute best tech headline ever, and no, neither I nor MG wrote it – The Inquisitr

Not being one’s to let anything too serious stop Sean or I from doing the show tonight’s episode finds Sean suffering through horrendous hotel Internet service in order to join me for our Cool Stuff night.

Before we get to that though we do take a moment to praise the Internet gods for finally allowing Netflix to reach Canada and for a reasonable price.

From three it’s all about robot skin, rubber band Gatling guns and glass speakers. You know cool stuff.

Just so you know we aren’t pulling your leg about how bad Sean’s connection was here’s the speed test result he showed me.

Posts referred to in the show.

  • New electronic skin gives robots the sense of touch – io9
  • Rubber Band Gatling Gun Will Cost You $500, Totally Worth It – The Inquisitr
  • Apparently the Future Is Now: Homemade Coil Gun – Great White Snark
  • Glass Speakers? What Are You, Crazy? – CrunchGear
  • Braille GPS helps the blind to navigate in unfamiliar places – DVICE
