More Wordpress Theme Viewer Screenshots

Jeff over at Jeffro2pt0 a new and up and coming Wordpress related blog posted about my earlier post concerning the new Wordpress Theme Viewer that apparently I am one of the view people to be able to get to – if as Jeff points out this is in fact not just a fluke. In his post he asks for more screenshots if possible and being the obliging type of person I am here is a full set of screenshots of the various views I could display (in all cases click on image for larger view)

Main View

This is the same one as in my original post and appears to be the default – or thumbnails – view when you first load the site

Wordpress Theme Viewer - Thumbnail view

Slideshow View

This is the second viewing option that is available from the drop down list of view option at the top of the page. This is also the view you will get when you click on the Info icon that you will see overlaid on the thumbnail

Wordpress Theme Viewer - Slideshow view

Filmstrip View

This is the third viewing option available as well as the view you will get when you click on the demo icon overlaid on the thumbnail

Wordpress Theme Viewer - Filmstrip view

Thumbnail and Overly Icon view

This last screen shot is an enlarged view of the thumbnails displayed on the page. In it you can see at the bottom right a series of three icons. The first is the download icon, the second is Demo icon which will switch you to the Filmstrip view; and the last is the Info icon which will switch you to the Slideshow view.

Thumbnail and Ovelay Icons view

Now I don’t know why I’ve been able to get to what looks like the new Wordpress Theme Viewer while others haven’t but hopefully if this is the new site these screenshots will satisfy any questions until it the new look is more widely available.

I am digging the film strip view, it reminds of how the Flickr gallery slideshow view. I like what I see so far.

It might seem olay at this point but I think it would get slightly exhausting looking through all the themes once they actually start getting some more content up there.

I don't think that came from WP theme site. If you are going to observe the menu's on top it's not the same as on the original WP theme viewer. No link to upload or update the theme. No footer included as well. This might just be a psd file or something.

Well I just took a look at the page source and everything points to Wordpress. Additionally I found this one interesting line in the HEAD tag that pointed to another site which displays a page about XFN 1.1 relationships and has Matthew Mullenweg listed as one of the authors

    <head profile=”http://gmpg.org/xfn/11″>

The only thing I can take from this is that somehow I've; and maybe others, hooked into a work in progress – I really don't know. I can only go by what I am seeing in the page source (which I've saved) and feel that this is indeed from Wordpress

If I may be bold enough to inquire… why is it that the _browser_ itself does not appear in the screenshots?

One thing that would be really helpful would be if you included the rest of the browser window, so we could see the URL of the page you're on.

It does seem a tad bit odd that the browser address bar is out of view.
Also, if you saved the source, it'd be nice to see that as well. For starters, the source of the html output would tell you where the stylesheet is located, and would give you the url for it. You could then post the CSS url for us to see.

    Seems like linkbait to me.

Believe me or not (I know what I saw, whether people believe it or not) but I've seen that design on the site as well. If you right clicked the image on the left-hand side, click the view image button, and check the address bar, you'll see it's one of several picture designs.

Again, you don't have to believe me, but I know I what I saw.
